1. Getting started
Each row is a city, with its 24 hours side by side. The columns line up, so every column is the same moment in every city. The top row is your home city: the grid follows its day.
- The colors follow the sky: night, sunrise, daytime and sunset.
- A blue bar along the bottom of a tile marks working hours (9 am to 5 pm). Faded tiles are weekends.
- The green line shows the current time. The small dot marks the current hour in each city.
2. On a phone or tablet
On a touch screen there's no mouse pointer, so a few things work differently:
- Tap an hour to select it. Tap inside the selection to deselect it.
- Press and hold on the tiles for about half a second (some phones give a small buzz), then slide to select several hours. A quick swipe just scrolls the grid sideways.
- Drag the time pill above the grid to move through the day: every city's clock shows that minute. When you let go, it stays for about 5 seconds and then goes back to "Now". Tap anywhere else to send it back straight away.
- With Precise selection on: the first tap starts a one-hour meeting at that minute, and a second tap sets the end.
- Reminders: tap the thin strip above the grid to set one at that minute. Tap a bell to open it.
- The city buttons are always shown: press and drag ⋮⋮ to move a city up or down, tap the house to make it your home city, or tap ✕ to remove it.
- Clock dashboard: tap its ✎ Edit to rearrange, rename or remove clocks (they wiggle a little), then ✓ Done.
- Globe: drag it with your finger to spin it. Tap a dot to add that city.
- Turn your phone sideways to see more hours at once.
3. The globe and big clock
- The globe shows where it's day and night right now. Drag it to spin it.
- Hover over a dot to see the city's local time. Click a dot to add that city to your list.
- The big clock shows the time in your home city.
- Turn on Clock dashboard in the toolbar for a row of clocks: add any city (or a fixed offset like “UTC+5”) with its own search box, choose Analog, Digital or List and 12h / 24h, drag ⋮⋮ to rearrange, or click ✕ to remove one (with Undo). New clocks appear first (just after your home city). Click a clock's name to rename it (“Mom”, “Office”…); leave it empty to get the city name back. Click its ⚙ for more: seconds, tick or smooth sweep, day/night dials and cards, a sun / moon icon, numbers, size, date, time zone name, the difference from home, Sort clocks (earliest or latest time first, by name or by country, with Undo), and Reduce motion when there are more than 10 clocks (on by default, keeps the globe smooth). Its clocks are separate from the grid's cities. Share in the toolbar includes the dashboard too. To hide it, click the ✕ in its corner (or turn off the switch); your clocks are kept.
4. Adding and managing cities
- Type in the search box: a city, a country, a UTC offset (like "UTC+5:30" or "+9") or an abbreviation (like "IST" or "EST"). Click a result, or use the arrow keys and Enter.
- With the search box empty, it shows a Popular list. The list stays open, so you can add several cities in a row.
- New cities appear right below your home city.
- Hover over a city to see its options under its badge: drag ⋮⋮ to move it up or down, click the house to make it your home city, or click ✕ to remove it.
- The badge next to each city (like "+1" or "−4:30") is its time difference from your home city.
5. The tiles
- Move the mouse across the tiles: the green line follows it, and every city's clock shows that exact minute.
- Where a new day begins, the tile shows the date. In half-hour zones, midnight falls inside a tile, shown by a small notch.
- Change the day with ‹ and ›, pick one from the calendar, or press Today.
- 12h / 24h changes the time format. ⚙ Settings lets you turn the floating dots or the blinking colons in the big clock on or off, choose a tile Color scheme (Sky, Classic, Ocean, Pastel or High contrast), switch on Gradient tiles (each tile's color blends into its neighbors), and adjust the weekday and weekend tile colors: brightness, greyness and contrast (double-click a slider to reset it). Reset all settings puts everything back, with Undo.
6. Selecting a meeting time
- Click an hour to select it, or drag across several hours. Shift-click moves the end of the selection.
- Turn on Precise selection to select to the exact minute: click to start a one-hour meeting there, or drag from the start to the end.
- Use − 1 hour / + 1 hour and − 5 min / + 5 min to change the length.
- Click inside the selection again, press Clear selection, or press Escape to deselect.
7. Meetings
- Give your meeting a title, and add a note or a joining link (Zoom, Meet, Teams…).
- Add to Google Calendar, Download .ics (for Outlook, Apple Calendar and others) or Copy times to share it.
- Save meeting keeps it in the Meetings list, sorted by time and marked Upcoming, Now or Past.
- Upcoming meetings can be opened back onto the grid, edited, given a reminder or deleted. Past meetings can only be deleted, or cleared all at once with Clear past meetings.
8. Reminders
- Click a future point on the thin strip above the grid to set a reminder at that minute, or use 🔔 Remind me in the meeting panel.
- Click a bell to open Add Reminder: add notes, remove reminders, or add more with −1 / +1 and Add. Close bells are grouped, with a number.
- When a reminder goes off, a chime plays and the Reminder Notifications window opens. It closes by itself after 2 minutes.
- Turn on System notifications in the Reminders list to be notified even when the tab is in the background.
- Reminders only work while this page is open. For alerts when the site is closed, add the meeting to your calendar.
9. Sharing and your data
- Share copies a link to your current view (cities and date), so others see the same thing.
- Your cities, settings, meetings and reminders are saved only in this browser. Clearing your browser's site data erases them.
