This policy explains what information World Time Aligned ("we", "us") handles when you use worldtimealigned.com (the "site"), and the choices you have.

1. Information stored in your browser

The site has no accounts, and the tools run in your own browser. To remember your preferences, the site saves the following in your browser's local storage, on your device only. We do not receive this information:

• the cities and time zones you add, and their order;
• your settings: light or dark theme, tile style, 12-hour or 24-hour format, and Precise selection;
• reminders you set, including any notes you add to them;
• meetings you save, including their titles, notes or links, and the cities' times.

When you share a link to your view, the cities and date are included in that link's address, visible to anyone you share it with.

2. Information you send us

If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you enter. The form is processed by Google Apps Script and stored in a private Google Sheet, and a copy is sent to our email inbox. We use this information only to read and reply to your message, and we do not sell it. If you email us directly, we receive the information in your email.

3. Notifications

If you allow notifications for reminders, your browser shows them on your device. We don't receive any information about them.

4. Advertising and cookies

We may show ads provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, including ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure their performance. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site or other websites.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads and related cookies are used.

5. Other services the site uses

• Google Fonts: the site's font is loaded from Google, which receives your device's IP address as part of that request.
• Google Calendar: if you choose "Add to Google Calendar", your meeting details are sent to Google Calendar in your browser.
• Ko-fi: if you choose to support us, the payment takes place on Ko-fi's site, under Ko-fi's own privacy policy. We don't receive your payment details.
• Hosting: like all websites, our hosting provider may keep basic technical logs (such as IP addresses and pages requested) for security and reliability.
• Copy protection: if you arrive here from an unauthorized copy of the site, the site tells us that copy's web address and the page you opened, so we can have it removed. Nothing about you is sent.

6. Your privacy choices

• You can delete the information stored in your browser at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. Individual reminders can also be deleted from the Reminders list.
• You can turn notifications off at any time in your browser's site settings.
• You can manage advertising cookies as described in section 4.
• You can ask us to delete any messages you've sent us by writing to the address below.

7. Children's privacy

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
